problem with headlights

i have a 93 ranger. the right headlight went out a couple days ago. when i took it out it was shattered. i got about 3 days of service out of the new one, now it is shattered again. i was very careful not to bump it or touch it at all. i figure it has to be some sort of short in the wiring letting it get too hot, but where do i start to look.

hmmmmmmmmmm im not sure on that one but i whould check your mounts on the light cuz if it is shakeing to much from being loose then it whould do that. and also if u was getting to much power to one u whould to the other. and your horn whould most likely not work aswell.
