Max up a Mustang?

Hey does anybody know what would i have to upgrad on my MAXIMA 98 GLE to take on a Mustang GT 2002.

I'd say the VQ3.5 engine. Or a CIA, exuast, chip and a better manual shifter if urs is a manual.

GLE model is only automatic

and you would probably need a lot of mods because mustang gt has about 260hp wich if far more than a 98 max has (190),

Them so can anyboddy tell me wat kine off mods so i can do it to my car, n wher can i buy all the parts for it, Or should i just not even try to beet this dude.

Get a 3.5 in your car but before you do that make sure you bore out the engine over.4 to 3.9 and then get a Y-pipe, a chip from JWT and a complete exhaust system with a 2k Muffler and then you'll smoke him.

2002 Mustangs are murder off the line and a Max 3.5 will not be too far behind it but hey what can you expect, it's a V8 RWD coupe, not a grocery getter family sedan.

Are you saying bore the 3.5 or the 3.0. This was discussed on my350Z.com and aparatly you can only bore the 3.5 to like at least 3.7 3.8 if you are lucky. This came up because they wanted to know if they can make it a VQ4.0 but its not possible yet.

I was saying bore the 3.5 to 3.9 but I wasn't sure it could be done, I know for a fact that the 3.0 can be overbored to .4=3.4 so I was speculating that it could be done to the 3.5 since it is the same block and all but I guess I've learned something new today from you, thanks.

The Mustang V8 98 and up are sporting more torque than ever and although the Max is powerful, it isn't a sportscoupe or sportcar, however that Stanger better not be sleeping on that 3.5 if it pulls up next to him because if he takes it for granted he'll be looking at the taillights in no time.

Reasonably though, the Max needs an SC at least to be able to wipe the Mustang off the map, you can mod the hell out of a Max (even the 3.5) and still it is rare that many would run 13.9, the best I've seen of the Max's are 13+'s with crazy mods and if you put those same type of mods for a Stang you'd be doing low 13's all day.

Love the Max but don't get it twisted.

well dont take my word for it because I am not too sure its is what I read on my350Z.com. They said that next frontier might be getting a VQ4.0 but with a V8 or something. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...threadid=39061
