What brand do you like?
Right now I am bulding a nitro car and an electric car. I have eight older electric Tyco cars, they are damn fast for being Tyco but I want to build a REAL electric. I have a friend that likes Traxxis kits but they seem kind of cheap to me. So what brand kits do you guys and gals like? Also what brand of parts do you use such as transmitters, servos, and speed controlls?

If you want speed and you want to be able to embrass touring cars everywhere, get a pan car. If you want to be able to race though, you will most likely need a touring car. For Pan cars, Id sugest Parma, I have theirs and their body's are sweet, however its not that easy to get parts. The only part that wheres out easily is the hubs. Thats the only part I've had to replace in mine over the past 3 years or so. For electronics, I like Futaba Transmitters, I like Tekin speed control but they are basiclly out of buisness so Id suggest novak for forward and reverse and LRP for forward only. For electric motors, I like Reedy stock motors and trinity's modified motors.

Your welcome. From what i hear, they rent totally out of buisness, there are still people there and i think they are making forward only ESC's and repairs to faulty ESC's. Also on an after though, if you do get a parma pan car, becareful with the screws for the hubs. They are a different size screws that other oval/pan cars and are very hard to come by.

The fastest electric touring car (and rally car with the rally conversion) has to be the associated elecrics TC3. Ive had yokomo's yr4,mr4, tamiya's, losi and a few others that I cant remember and the TC3 is still the fastest and easiest to drive. Dont get me wrong they have their problems just like everything. They can be broken by inexperienced driving. Ive raced a couple of TC3's for 2years now without any major problems. Transmiters, receivers and servos has to be KO Propo with LRP speed controls and if you cant afford the KO go for futaba.

i love Associated but my favorite brand will always be Tamiya, they pioneered in sooo many categories. as for electronics, i would have to say hi-tec, they have airtronic's performance for less money. and i also love Trinity stuff.
