What 128 Mb Pci Video Card Do You Guys Recommend?

I was wanting to upgrade to a 128 mb video card, because I do some serious pc gaming that requires it. So what 128 mb pci card do you recommend? I have a hp pavilion 752c. Thanks in advance.

ATI Radeon 9600

I use it at work and its a great car. I'm using the 8000 series all in wonder here at home (has the tv tuner in it) and its been fantastic as well.

I totally agree. I've got the All-In-Wonder too and its great. ATI is definately on top of things since the addition of the 9000 series.

for serious gaming you need a new computer with an AGP slot...since you don't have one i guess you're running something like a P2...that is way too old.....

BTW i love to see all the AIW owners here....i've been using AIW cards for 3 years now and i love them...they rule

Many new computers dont have AGP ports; putting an unused port on a computer costs money, and when big companies build to a price, AGP ports are often omitted.

Still, double check
Otherwise, a Radeon9600 PRO (if it is available as a PCI card). Otherwise, Id probably have to suggest looking for (in order): GeForceFX5600, Radeon 9000 PRO, GeForce4MX, GeForceFX5200.

this is why i hate the brand name companies...they always rip you off with stuff like that...its so much nicer to build custom ones....

anyway....something like a ATI 9600 would be nice....i think they make them in PCI

I hate computers they always break down

Does anyone have the New Geforce FX that thing was supposed to be awesome

I like my Geforce 2 its not so bad but i need a new one all the same.

I also heard that 64MB cards are faster than 128MB cards because the 128 ones use cheaper memory so aren't as efficient. Can anyone verify this?

I'm with you too.....although it seem for most current games 64 is enough....ussually the real gains of high memory show when heavy antialising is used

the good memory bad memory is usually found between different brands.....which is why i like to buy only 100% ati cards....unfortunatelly there are no 100% nvidia cards except the reference ones which you cannot buy anyway

Originally the 128mb video cards had slightly slower clocked memory, becuase the technology to make fast, high density memory was not available. Now, however, it is. So, 128mb cards are better than 64mb cards.
