OK so i was haning out with friends tonigt, and went to take a friend on a ride in my sol. took a turn(u Turn) slowly, and the car started rattleling very loundly. at first ppl. though it was my brakes(i know it wasnt my brakes, because it continued even whil stopped) so i popped the hood. it sounded like it might have been a main Bearing(no knock so it wasnt a rod bearing right, done that b4 on a toy Paseo with too much high performance stuff) ppl. were thinking it might have been my water pump, or a belt rattleing, then it quit rattleing all together. and hasnt since it quit. however when i stopped at the 7/11 to pick up some chips and a Coke, jumped back in, and the starter just clicked, and didnt turn the motor over. a friend who followed me home, and I had to push start it(its not the Battery b/c Stereo was working fine, even with my 10" sub and a 800w amp) it just woudnt start witht he starter it only took like 5 feet of "clutch Jumping" to start the car, so we were all amazed, so i think it might be the starter now.. but i'm not sure,, i have a 93 SOHC Vtec, and i am highly knolegeable on honda motors( would be working for a Acura Delership as a mechanic if i didnt have to go to school full time for the military) I have built 3 honda motors, 2 LS Integ motors, and D16Z6 just like the one i own but a friends. I am currently building a B18C1 for another friend who decided he wanted to upgrade his LS integ to a GSR with all the Type R stuff, Valves, Pistons, Titanium Springs/ retainers, and Cams, he is also putting a Jackson racing supercharger, and the larger (better) Sleaves. one last note, when i got home i was able to start the car a large # of times with no problem. I am really puzzled by this one. and i am hoping beyond all hope that it is the starter. because i am going to be putting a supercharged GSR motor in this car once i am done building the current GSR motor for a friend of mine. i dont want to have to Rebuild my D16Z only to have to spend the same $$$ on building the GSR motor.
any help would be greatly appreciated
