First Tamiya car Evo 6 - Completed
Finally finished it. I am qiute pleased with it for a first attempt at a Tamiya kit but I guess the real decision will be made by you folks. Hope you like it. Looking forward to moving on to another one a bit later.
I have attached a peak of my next project at the end. Bit disappointed with the detail in the photos as before I reduced them the car looked a lot better. It is a pity that the blurriest photo is the only one to show off exactly how shiny it really is. Came up like a sheet of glass after polishing but poor photos have it looking really rough nad grainy when its not. |

![]() the yellow in the interior made it looks a bit sucky, should have left it just blue and grey. Other than that its nice. |

Yeah, I don't really like the yellow in the car. The green paint looks really nice.

Car looks good, but...the interior. When I first saw the yellow, I thought it was resin or putty correcting/modifying the front seats. A suggestion, next time (or now if you want...if the body isn't glued on) spread the yellow out a bit more...to the door panels, dash board, center consol, back seats etc..
Other than that, great job!

Why does everyone call that the Evo 8?!
I really don't know what the diferences are between the Evo7 and this "8" aside from the bumpers and the clear taillights. Could someone enlighten me ?BTW, your Evo 6 is cool! Love that colour, but IMHO that interior is just a bit "too much". But a great job, though!!

I actually copied the seats from a real Evo 6 owned by a security gaurd at my work and beleive me when I say it IS the only yellow in the car. Asmenoth; Thanks for the suggestion to spread the yellow out a bit more with examples. I will keep that in mind for my next one (not neccessarily Yellow of course). As one of the older people that hangs out here I rely a lot on suggestion and real cars for my inspiration. Thank you again. Tony |

Wow that looks great. I agree with the comments about the yellow perhaps spoiling the interior, but it's not that bad and does make the model pretty unique. Just not how I would do it personally. Then again variety is the spice of life, eh?
![]() That green colour on the other Evo looks awesome, look forward to seeing that one completed.
