you missed the ebay auction a couple weeks ago, the guy was selling an r33 for $8000. no one bid on it.... dumbasses. if i had the money i'd get it. only costs a couple grand to legalize it. it was already in california...

actually after talking to the guys who import the skylines... it doesn't cost but a couple grand to get it legalized being that Motorex already dished out the money to get them crashed tested... thats why Motorex is trying to sue all the skyline importers that are popping up...

I wish it were only a couple grand. If that were the case, you think I would really be driving a Civic? : ). For an R33, MotoRex charges anywhere from $17,000 (1995 models) to $25,000 (1996-1998) for legalization. And as anybody in the Skyline forum will tell you, there's no [legal] way to get around MotoRex.

Well if that is the case how is this skyline (in dallas) driving around legally without ever contacting motorex? Motorex charges a butload because they need to make back the money that they lost crash testing the skylines... i believe they had to crash 10 of every year that wanted to be imported. Now how much do you think that cost? they are making their money back by charging a buttload.

skylines are bad ass but i would never pay all that money for one. i don't see how you guys would even wish you had the $$ to buy one. i could think of better cars to get. $75k for an r33 is crazy! i'd rather get an S4.

look on motorex's web site, those cars are over priced as shit. i would never pay that money for something just cuz of the import scene hypin it up as some kinda holy grail of the automotive world.

The price is so high because if yu go to motorex's site then it will show you it cost $18k to fully legalize a R-34 yourself. And I'm sure people are much more willing to pay the price and have all that work done for them then to get a non-legal car and wait months or longer to have it legalized. Plus I'm sure the cost is so high because they have to crash test them, I didnt even know they had to do that, also the skyline is in high demand making it more valuable. Yes cheaper cars can and do outperform the skyline, but that's like asking why would you pay $3000 for an AE86 when it's not worth that much by blue book or whatever, it is sought after, that is why. What was my original point? hmmm....forgot

Does that dark grey R32 happen to belong to a guy named Sam or Sami?
