S13 Coupe or S13 Hatch

Hi, im 16 and im gonna be getting a car soon. Im limited to what i can get cause i don't have alot of money but its s teady flow so i will be able to do alot of mods. I was looking at a s13 coupe and an S13 hatch, and i was going to do a s13 silvia front end conversion on what ever one i choose. But the real questions is, I was also intrested in drifting and is there a big difference in drifting with either car. I hear the hatch has better balance but i like the overall look of the coupe(reminds me of the R32). Would this affect my ability to progress as a drifter.
~Thankx~

The coupe is lighter and has better body stiffness. The fastback has more storage area. They are both very attractive cars. My family owns a 91 Coupe and we love it. The coupe styling grows on you and looks really sharp with a Silvia front end

I love the hatch and I love the front styling, I would never do a conversion either, I hate those lights, just look plain gay if you ask me, but I say that YOU DO WHAT YOU LIKE BECAUSE ITS YOUR CAR AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT ANY OF US THINK as long as you don't put APC stickers on it with a huge wing and those gay clear taillights, so as long as you stay away from those 3 things you'll still be cool with me no matter what you decide

the coupe is more structuraly rigid then the hatch, and also weighs VERY SLIGHTLY less because the back windows are smaller. there's really not much of a difference and both are WIDELY used for drifting.

If you plan to put a jdm s13 front on it then go with the coupe...the hatches don't look as good with the headlight conversion. For styling I like the hatch more and as someone said before you get more interior space. If you stick with the stock front you might be better off since you will have a pretty good chance of killing the front on when drifting.

my plan wait until the stock lights are fucked so bad they can't open and then convert it.
