can an engine just be B16A ???

I am wondering if there is an engine that is just B16A ..... without any suffixes... for example b16a1 a2 a3...... and if there is such engine as just "b16a" what is the hp and stats of the engine , also the price....

i think the motors in the japanese domestic market are just B16As

if they are jdm they are 170HP and i think somewhere around 111 ft/lbs but youll wanna doublecheck that number.

1st gen JDM B16A's have 160hp and 111ft lbs. The 2nd gen(92+) have 170hp and 113ft lbs.

JDM B16A's just say B16A, they have the A2/A3, etc on the block like USDM B16A's. So if it just says B16A, it's JDM. and the the first gen JDm B16A's (89-91) have 160hp @7600 rpm and 111 ft/lbs of torque @7000. The second gen of B16A's (92+) have 168hp @7800 and 116 ft/lbs @ 7300. Both just say B16A on the block.
