Important F-1 Model question!

I have a little secret shop i go to now and again to get old and rare models for cheap. i just got the Fujimi Dino 246 gts for $12! anyhow my question is this.... i found a F-1 Mclaren kit there but i dont remember all the details but this is what i remember.... it was like a Half view kit, maybe option for full view, and all the engine pieces were metal. it was a Mclaren and i think it was Tamiya but im not sure, im old and dont remember well. anyhow does anyone know what kit this might be??? he wants $80 but i could probably talk him down to $65-$70. is this worth it??? thank you

If it's the 1/12 scale McLaren MP4/6 Tamiya kit it's worth it.

I recall Hasegawa released some kits with metal engines. Don't remember a McLaren though, only a Williams, Ferrari and Honda. What scale was it? The Hasegawas were 1/24th.

I have the 1/12 MP4/6, not the clearview though, and yes, the suspension pieces are metal, with a plastic engine.
