Not Happy

This kit was one of my current purchases from HLJ and I was disappointed that the 5 spoke wheels pictured on the box are not included in the kit. It only has the mesh WRX Style BBS wheels which in my opinion should've been an extra optional set in the kit.

This other kit includes them but there's no accessory body kit

Only reason I'm not happy is because it's a nice wheel and would've been ideal to have the extra set for use on another kit. I haven't seen a wheel set that matches that 5 spoke.

What the heck can I use those BBS wheels on? They're seventeens and the style is too classy Euro for me. Any ideas? For the record this is the first Fujimi kit that has really, really disappointed me. I knew they weren't Tamiya in quality but, this really, really urks me. I hate a nice car with crap wheels.

Wow, I see your point! If Fujimi's going to start charging 2600 yen for a basic kit, they're going to have to start offering some perks!

Try using them on a "Euro" car... They'd look pretty nice on a new Porsche (996) 911 Carrera

If they would fill the arches enough, I'd put them on a Ferrari 360 Modena kit. They're a pretty close style to the Challenge rims.

It seems that, for once, Fujimi didn't goof with this. I remember that some years ago, Nissan sold "Version-B" limited editions of some of its cars. They came in basic white, equipped with full body kits... and cheap steel wheels. Why ? Perfect base for a tuning project : why pay for a set of alloy wheels if you're gonna change them anyway ?

My guess is either Subaru had similar "Version-B" cars in its JDM lineup, or Fujimi got inspired, and created such a car. Anyway, the box art photo is misleading, bur apparently not the text.

Fujimi messed up with the box art. I'm sure it's not difficult to properly illustrate what you're getting. The Legacy GT B-spec did come with these optional BBS wheels, so Fujimi should've included them as an option, not as the only wheel choice. Now, looking at the picture I attached below, do you guys think the wheels in the kit can be passed off as Volk Racing SE37K rims?
