motor swap

can a 4.3 liter v6 bolt in to a truck originally w/a 3.0 liter with minor mods?

I've got a '98 4x4 with a 5.0
Plus it just passed smog

No it won't bolt up. The 3.0 has a unique bolt pattern for the bell housing.
