A few questions

Hi, first post here...As the title states, I have a few questions. I have done several models in the past, but now I am looking to mod them.

1. I read an FAQ about epoxy putty. How much can be used before it would dry up, if it ever would. My concern is, if I use too much of it, it may just crumble. Is that a possibility?

2. I read some posts, where people mention they use parts from different kits. Are these extra parts? or are you buying kits to use those parts? (Also if you use extra parts, should they always be from the same brand?)

Thanks

SOmetimes they are extra, sometimes I buy a kit just for wheels, engines, etc. If you get kits that have 2n1 or 3n1 versions, usually you have alot of parts leftover. Right now, I`ve accumulated a collection of probably about 100+ unbuilt models. I know alot of them will never get built, so if I get an idea and need parts from those kits, I dont hesitate.

Sometimes, especially with wheels, it may make it easier. For the most part, I don`t even consider it. The most important thing is that the size is proportional between the two.
