Question M3 resell

I'm a military member stationed in Germany. I can buy a brand new US Spec M3 for around $42000, and only about a few months wait. I would not normaly consider this but I was looking at the 330i which I can save maybe $4-5K on, and I thought to myself "doesn't the M3 go for a whole lot more in the states?"

What do you think I could sell a 2004 or 2003 M3 for in in the USA in 2-3 years? I'm trying to figure out if I can drive it for 2-3 years here in Germany for free or near free. I won't buy it if I'm going to lose $4k, but if I can sell it for $45 or more 2-3 years, I may consider it?

I'd just like to hear anyone's thoughts.

Wink

My dealer told me that they can sell 04 M3 for $1200 under sticker price which is $46k -1200 around $44500 without option and tax. so the difference is really not much plus you have to ship it back.
