going turbo

so I looked into some engines...H22 that is only like 160hp...fuckin thing costs 2 grand or something. Need a tranny...ecu..for all that shit too. Give or take a few bucks on all the beer and pretzels i'd need to buy while I'm working on it.

I was thinking of going turbo on the F22 for my 97 honda accord (Napa has a honda accord turbo on sale for 700 bucks). I don't really know how low you can boost a turbo...I was thinking of running somethin' small like 4 pounds?

Is it possible to run low boost like that and not fuzz up the stock internals? They seem to be pretty solid blocks? If I ran 4 lbs. of boost would I even need an intercooler?

I just don't want to spend tons of money on internals because you can buy a complete f22 engine for 600 dollars these days (I'd rather just get a new one than buy 800 worth of parts to make my block stronger). Just wondering if anyone has done this and if any problems came about?

Definitely need some piping and stuff. Just looking for about 30-40 hp at the block or bhp.

...everything removed from the car...shaded to date about 240 lbs. in theory the power to weight is 5.8 lbs/hp lighter than it was stock. I even took out the horn. I just want a little more power to back it up.

when I'm done I am going to ask a cop to use a radar gun and check to see if my speedometer is off. Then, while he is waiting for me to drive by at the speed limit...I'm gonna go by at 130 and just go home.

You should be able to run up to about 8 psi without beefing up the internals. You don't need to run an intercooler, but your boost will be limited to about 5 - 8 psi.
