I was wondering if it is true that you have to have the factory stereo installed for the keyless entry to wok and if there is any way around this because I've already replaced it. I still have the factory one but don't know how to re-install it, because it will have to be hidden behind the dash(I'm told that that's what a lot of people do). So if anyone knows I would really appreciate the help.

you need a special harness that plugs into your factory radio and then goes to your aftermaket radio. honda was dumb and decided to go throught the radio of the car. thats what i had to do on my civic. and after about a year and a half the keyless enrty stopped working so i had to reset it which wasnt to bad but i had to take most of the dash out to get to the stock radio, so when you hook it up make sure it is in a easy place to get to if you have to.
