problems running

I have a 1989 bronco ii and it has problems running.

Usually it will start right up. But after I drive around for 5 minutes or so and I let up off the gas. It just suddenly dies. And I was at McDonalds the other night and I had to keep my foot on the gas at the drive through so it wouldn't die. But after waiting for 10 minutes it died anyways. And then I have to wait roughly an hour before it will start up again after that.

I just got the battery replaced today and it's still doing the same thing.

Any idea what the problem could be.?

Re: problems running

check your parts on your belt line. A frozen air pump, or ac unit for instance will not immediately show you problems, but will slow down the belt line enough that the engine will stall. It may start when cold, but then when the frozen part heats up, it begins to bind.... an most times you will not see smoke

Re: problems running

Might as well check the exhaust for back-pressure problems.
