is turbo legal for a 92 integ ls?

i got plans of getting a rev hard turbo for my 92 integ but really worried about its legality and when its time to do a smog check. will it even pass smog, and if it doesn't why not when other cars have turbos? i live in california the bay area to be exact and right now they are trying to make me do the new enhanced smog check just bcuz i was from southern california, what ever comments u give is great especially with guys who had prior experiences with thier turbo, i just don't wanna be putting it in then pulling it out, then putting it back in again every 2 years, that can be expensive and time consuming.thanks

One thing that makes a turbo kit illegal is the external wastegate. If it has a dump tube that goes to the downpipe, then it is legal. If it is just venting out exhaust into the engine bay, then it is illegal. I think the same might apply for the BOV...not sure though. Some have a tube that diverts the excess air back into the turbo compressor. This would be why most stock turbo cars aren't very noisy. Other than that, the kit should be legal...ask Rev Hard if you can, they would know.
