Thumbs down

just wanted everyone to know that your much better off ordering parts from Courtesy Nissan, Street Beat,Tire Rack, or any other website for that matter aside from cattman performance due to their low standards of customer care. not only are they giving me difficult times about making a return for a full refund, but when i called pertaining to missing hardware for my rear sway bar, all they did was give me the number for addco and told me to handle the problem on my own.. i still cant put my sway bar in because of the complications trying to reach anything other than an answering machine at addco.. thanks cattman.. after spending a few hundred dollars on your products you tell me to handle the problem on my own?? and then give me a song and dance about giving me my money back??!! i think you should stand behind your products and service a little more. i dont care if i threw your product off a cliff and wanted a refund, you should do it just to keep me on as a customer after spending a nice chunk of money on several products from you . thats called good customer service which i experienced from Sreet Beat, and Courtesy Nissan, both of which i highly recomend to all new comers looking to invest some money in their cars. BY THE WAY.. STEET BEAT has great deals on hyper white bulbs, tail lights, tail light paint, and strut bars! make sure you check em out!!!!! have a nice day

tell all your friends.. dont goto cattman for any of you maxima needs.. and anyone else that knows brian can tell him that theres a loud mouth from new york on this forum bashing the way he treats his customers. under no circumstances should i be the making the phone calls and doing all the foot work to remedy a problem i had with a product that i purchased from HIM. not addco.. cattman..... cattman should be standing behind his products and taking care of these problems for me.. uy wanted to play games with the forums brian.. u got it.. u got more to loose than me in here... EVEYONE-- DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM CATTMAN PERFORMANCE

I tihnk Brian Catts is a great guy. He has made so many great parts for the Maxima. He's not a huge company, just one guy so give him some credit.

well i do a lot of custom work w/ brian catts for 5th gens...i'll let him know about your problems...he is currently out of town and i think he said he will be back in the middle of april...next time i see him, i'll try to remember to mention it...

the addco bar is not something he makes, it is just something he carries...we should be happy for cattman since they make the best quality parts for our maximas...much better quality than stillen

I think his Ypipe is higher quality, but the fact that Stillen has a decent machine shop allows him to create different stuff.

what cattman makes is much higher quality than what stillen makes...i stand by my statement...stillen is also a large company that overcharges for everything they stock...cattman is also expensive but has very good quality to go along with that...does stillen make everything out of 304 stainless steel? no? i thought so...because cattman does...if you didn't know, 304 is one of the best if not the best type of stainless steel out there which is why he uses it...i will admit that stillen helps us maxima people more than cattman does because stillen has quite a bit more out for our cars, but the cattman y pipe (for example) is much better quality and doesn't give an annoying sound like the stillen one does...i stand by my statement

how can you even come on here and say that cattman makes better stuff than stillen? first off.. half the stuff that cattman sells (if not all of it) he dont even make!! hes just a dealer!! all he does is buy stuff and resell it at a higher price.. and how take the sway bar he sells, its made by addco.. and dont even tell me your gonna compare the fstb... dont even go there... you get what you pay for man.. people dont give stuff away...

ok, how about we take the y pipe...for example

i will admit some of stillens products are better but a fstb is all for looks...they all perform the same as long as you have it torqued properly...the stillen fstb is a little under $200 where as the cattman is $65...

and talking about how some of the stuff cattman buys and just resells at a higher price...oh, we don't know anyone that does that...lets see...stillen sells eibach springs, tokico shocks, the new hks muffler, brembo brakes just as a few examples...the cattman y pipe is superior and the custom exhaust cattman just made for me (it should be out in a couple months) is far superior to the stillen rear section

i will admit the stillen rsb is better than the addco, but fstb's are the same all around...it is all cosmetic...you are paying for the stillen name

I agree with MrBurner. I have the old jethott YPipe from Cattman, sounds the best out of any Ypipe I've heard, and a lot of people can attest to that.

The Stillen sway bar is the best sway available for the Maxima, but he's right about the strut bars. Pretty much they're all the same as long as they're designed properly. The Stillen just looks better.

ok.. as far as the y-pipe goes, i really cant make any commet cause i dont know the first thing about it and i wont try to sound like i do. but as far as the fstb go.. seriously guys.. your way off... when's the last time you saw an INFINITI Q45 come stock with a a hollow ,adjustable fstb?? stillen is made out of solid steel.. its not hollow like cattman's.. thats why it costs more. AND..... the stillen is not expandable.. the stillen bar is a bitch to put on becomes it is designed to be slighty longer then the span of the strut towers when the car is sitting on level ground so when you tighten it down it is gradually pushing the towers apart, there for increasing the rigidness of the car. when you put on cattman's you just snug it up... its not living up to a fstb full potential.. AND.... cattmans bar will run you $97 before it reaches your door. if you dont belive me ill show you the invoice. for something that your only going to buy one time i think its a wise investment to spend the extra couple bucks for the stillen. its a better product, and look at the hassle cattman is giving me.. what kind of a business conduct is that?

oh.. and one more quick thing.. all these people that are saying cattmans stuff is the best.. how many of these people do you actually think bought the same type of mod from 2 different companies and actually tried both to see which was better?.. eveyone is singing that cattman's y-pipe is the best are only doin that cause thats the one they have.. check out the convos in the maxima.org forums and youll see someone under my post writing how he had problems with his cattam y-pipe and brian catts just told him to call the manufacter to complain, even though he bought it through cattman. he went though the same b.s. that i am with brian catts. it under dealership and shop experiences

fstb's do the same thing...all of them...you can give me one that is made out of a navy jet airplane metal and it won't do a damn thing different...fstb's doesn't matter the thickness or anything...it just matters how much you torque it...

their fstb is on sale for $65 currently with an $18 shipping charge...my price on it is $65 w/ no shipping charge since he delivers it directly to my door...

the cattman and stillen y pipes put out almost identical #'s as far as hp and torque, the cattman y pipe is just made out of much higher quality material...stillens y pipe also gives off an annoying buzzing sound where as my cattman y pipe gives off a deep growl...no buzzing...the cattman y pipe is made out of 304 stainless and for me right now that doesn't matter since i live in arizona...but next year i am moving to ohio and if my y pipe and exhaust weren't stainless, they would rust over the period of 1 winter...i will admit the stillen fstb looks better, but the cattman one is not hollow...i have seen both in person many times...the cattman one is made out of lightweight aluminum (polished aluminum)...it is just as strong as the stillen bar...i will admit the stillen rsb is better than the addco rsb...i plan on ordering the stillen rsb very soon...i am still undecided on what fstb to use, but i think i'm going to prototype a 5th gen fstb for cattman
