OT: Parking Ticket fun

So I was at the bar last night at around 5:15pm, and I was just sitting at the bar drinking a Heffie, and I'd parked my car right out front of the bar. There's big huge windows, so I could clearly see it. Anyways, I was thinking it was Sunday, so I didn't pay the parking meter, and before I know it, there's a meter maid writing me a ticket.

I cursed to myself, but figured the damage was done, so I wasn't going to confront her...

Anyways, it was pretty funny to watch her try and figure out where to put the ticket since I don't have any windshield wipers on my car LOL... Finally, she was trying to stuff the ticket into the crack in my driver-side door, so I set the alarm off on her.

She jumped back, got pissed, and stuffed the ticket in the door and stomped off to her go-cart.

Um... anyways, maybe you had to've been there, but it was funny as hell... Maybe it was the beer talking.

haha nice i was pretty close to getting one like 2 weeks ago. i had just parked my car on the strip at wasga beach and had just started walking when i turned and looked at my car and there was already a guy on it writing me a ticket, so slick as i am i pulled 4 quaters out of my pocket and started walking back to my car and he asked if it was my car. Im like yeh, i just had to go get change for the meter. he just stared at me for a minute and finally crumpled up the ticket and left haha

Question try this if you dare...i do not have any responsiblity for this action!!!!!!!

well here in california such as santa monica and long beach sometimes it is a + if you like to park wrong alot...what i have done a few times is paid the ticket and saved the envelope from the ticket( the envelope that comes with it)...and kept in a safe place until i decided to park somewhere wrong in a later time...then when you do...just simply put the envelope on the window and TADA...no more tickets...i have done this quite a few times and it has worked everytime..so if ya got the balls to get a ticket you should have the balls to avoid and trick those damn meter maids that have to reach thier quotas by the end of the month....LoL

Great idea, but here, the reason the tickets are so cheap (the one I got was $10), is because they give you a ticket and then drive around for a while, and if they come back, and your car is still there, they'll give you another ticket... So, I've seen cars with like 10 tickets all stacked up under their wipers...

A friend of mine works construction, and one time, he was doing some work downtown, and they gave him one of those orange hoods that goes over the parking meter that says you don't have to pay... Anyways, somehow he managed to keep it after the construction was done, and so now, whenever he goes downtown, he just uses that, never has to pay for parking.

Hey... what's a parking meter? I thought meter was a little over 3ft?

I live in the middle of nowhere no such thing as a parking meter for at least 60 miles of here
And even in Dallas, I've rarely ever seen parking meters... just lots of signs that say "No parking between 7am and 6pm".
