how do I get the battery out of my 92 lumina?

My battery has completely died on me and I need to get a new one in there. I read through the owners manual, and it says nothing about replacing a battery. I have replaced batteries before, but in the Lumina it is in a very weird position. I suppose I could just start taking things off and see if I could just do it without any direction, but I thought I might ask you guys first.

Please give me some instruction about how to remove the windshield washer basin, the crossbar that runs above that, and how to finally get the battery out. Thanks for your time.

You should ask! I just did one of those a week ago. Just remove items as they come across your way.
Remove the cross bar, 13mm socket. Totally remove the front ones. Loosen the rear one to a point where you can swing the bar across to the mastercylinder.
Disconnect the battery.
Loosen the battery hold down bolts.
There is a 10mm bolt holding the bracket assembly down. take it off.
Disconnect the washer bottle electrical and hose.
Pull it up slowly but with force, making sure it does not get caught on the bracket as you pull it out.
Remove the hold down bracket, making sure the long bolt that is towards the engine clears.
Remove the battery. Be patient.
Goog Luck.
