Bunta is supposed to be an Initial D version of Keichi,and the TRD engine is illegal for street use anyways.

some one mentioned that he drives by in a motorcycle when Takumi joins Project D or something. he also calls up Bunta in one of the episodes, and said some thing along the lines of "your drifting still scares the shit out of me" to Bunta.

It's an episode near the end of the 1st stage, close to the race between Takumi and the FC. I don't have the DVD's handy, or else I'd tell you the exact episode.

No, it was tsuchiya. During one scene Bunta is cleaning dishes in the sink and the phone rings. When he answers it it cuts to a shot of a guy with his head out of the scene but he's wearing Keichi's signature uniform colors and holding his helmet.

thats when he says something about buntas drift scaring him.

I guess he really is in there after all

Edit: all you see is a bunch of race modded R32s and then his helmet, and someone goes "Youre next Mr. Tsuchiya"
