Question tinted zip out windows?

I have a 2003 Tracker convertible. I have been looking online for somplace that sells dark tinted plastic zip-out windows to replace the standard clear windows. I have found sites that do this for Jeep Wranglers, so I figure there has to be some... somplace!

Anyone?

Thanks,
Keith

Re: tinted zip out windows?

Just saw your post re: tinted zip outs.

I've tried to located zip outs, to no avail (refer to my post this date 3/16/05).

So, if by chance you have found a place, or have replaced your clear ones.....let me know. Oh I should say I have a 2001,,,earlier than 2000 prob would not fit mine.

Thanks.

BesTop does not make replacement tinted windows for the Tracker/Vitara/Sidekicks. I spent quite a while emailing back and forth with a BesTop sales rep for them to tell me no. The adhesive window (Gila, etc.) should not be used on the windows, which is also noted on their box. However, the static cling window tint is safe to use. I can't remember who, but one of the cardomain.com members used the static cling tint on his and it works great. I just haven't been able to find static cling dark enough 5/2.5%.

I did however just pick up a brand new top to replace my old one (99 Tracker) as the stitching is coming undone. I'm going to use the old top for summer and the new one for winter. I think I'm gonna try the adhesive tint on the old windows and I'll let everyone know how well it works...
