I believe the only governer in the civic is the engine itself, but if there is one, I'd say it's around 110, cuz thats the highest my civic ever got and I had my foot buried. But agian, I don't believe they have a governer

My D16 engine would (believe it or not) make it to 125 or so and cut off. It would only get there in 4th gear, 5th actually made the car slow back down even with the gas to the floor. My B16B now cuts off at 125 also... any way to "cut a wire" or something and let it go faster?

I got mine up to 110 also but the governor never kicked. It just stayed there. I think my manual says it's supposed to kick in at 112.

6th gen Civics (DX/HX/EX) kicks in at 120 per the ECU setting. I'm not sure if it's the same for 5th gen Civics. Actually I know for a fact you can go HIGHER than that in the Si hatchback as the p28 ECU found in the '92-'95 Si hatch doesn't have a speed governer in it, just the engine rev limiter.

The 6th gen Si coupe is good till about 130 somthing if I recall correctly. 135 it is perhaps?
