I have a stock integra LS. I want to eventually modify it to the point of using a turbo. What should I start off with? I have about 500 bucks a month to play with. Are there some things that I might do to the car to increase hp on the front end that will just end up getting removed or replaced because of the turbo? I seriously want to eventually try to pull out 250 hp or more. What is the most hp you could get out of the LS engine and how would you go about doing so?

Well you shouldn't get a intake or header. As a matter of fact you should get the exhaust later too. When you do turbo run a 3'' exhaust system from the downpipe back, if you can get away without a cat do it. You don't need ANY backpressure at all for turbo.
You can get things like Skunk2 intake manifold, and upgrade the throttle body. Get better ignition components. When you turbo, if you get a kit start off at the preset boost setting. More than likely it will be about 8 PSI. Everything should be included in the kit to get you started off. Actually, if I were you I would wait for the Edelbrock turbo kit thats coming out for your car soon. It includes a better intake manifold. Yeah, get that turbo kit and run a 3'' exhaust system and you should be doing about 220-230 from 8 PSI. Then after you get more knowledgable about things, and do a little research you can turn up the boost safely and make more HP and your goal of 250 HP. You can boost 12 PSI safely on your stock engine, the B18B1. |

vtec before turbo?
Would there be any reason I might want to upgrade to the vtec before trying to go turbo? I am not a motorhead so I dont entirely understand how it all works just yet.

No, no VTEC is needed.
