Acura Integra LS turbo

I have a 94 integra LS w/ about 110,xxx miles on it and im at the point where i have some money and its either sell the integra and buy something else, or keep the integra and turbo charge it. My question is
1) How much would/should it cost to have a turbo kit installed in the NJ area?
2) who in the NJ area does this?
3) What kind of tuning is needed to make sure the turbo kit is working and not harming the engine?
4) Camaro Z28 or Turbo Charged LS...what would you pick?

Peter Gibbons: I don't know. But I really don't like it and, uh, I'm not gonna go.
Joanna: So you're gonna quit?
Peter Gibbons: Uh-uh. Not really. I'm just gonna stop going.
Joanna: When did you decide all that?
Peter Gibbons: About an hour ago.
Joanna: So you're going to get another job?
Peter Gibbons: I don't think I'll like another job.
Joanna: Well what are you going to do about money? Bills?
Peter Gibbons: You know I never really liked paying bills, I don't think I'm going to do that either

Have a friend with a turbo LS running 11 lbs...Smoked him every day of the week from a stop or roll at any MPH with my mostly stock 96 Z28. What year Z are you looking at? You can pick up 93-95s for $6k or less, and 96-97s for under $8500, and you can also find decently miled LS1s(98-02s) for right around $13k. Nothin quicker or more powerful for the price. I say go for it

i say sell it and get a awd dsm 1'gen of course.. spend 6'g into it and pull 12's all day long

i'm in n.y. i know lotz of shop that can do a turbo installation. rpm motor sports are really good in nyc. that is the only 1 i can think of off the top of my head tho.. there is lotz more in nyc tho..

i think it isn't such a good idear to turbo the ls b\c of the high milage on the motor a turbo will jus ware down the motor quicker.. sooner or later you will have to re-build intrernals..

i say sell the car and get another 1.. btw the a z28 doesnt sound to bad but you didnt hear that from my mouth

Your answer is wrong and mine is right. Read the question before you correct someone elses answer.

My buddy has a 93 lazer, turbo and it runs like a missle but falls apart like a 90 year old trying to 10 pin bowl.

Man you know what? You have to forget about these BUMBS on here giving you bad advice.

First off..110,000 miles is not alot of miles for a Honda/Acrua...I have a honda on 250,000 miles...and still runs good. All you have to do is a compression test and if everything checks out then Turbo the car.

I am from NJ Morris County and I would recommend that you go to NY to get the turbo install..NJ is too dam expensive for everything..unless you live in south jersey..There are LOTS of places in NY that do turbo installs. I don't know of any in NJ but I know there are.

Since your car is a 94....you might have a hard time passing the stupid ass emissions test if you turbo your integra. But then again that depends on tuning. DraG GEN III, revhard....offer kits but not sure about the emissions. You don't want to spend $4000 on a turbo and then fail state inspection. Make sure what ever you get has a C.A.R.B #.

I would pick the LS over the Z28 anyday. Because I believe that american cars have reliability issues...PROVEN buy consumer guides 10 best and worst used cars....most of the cars on the worst list are american.....And ALL of the cars on the 10 best list are imports. I'm not going to totally hate on the Z28 thought...they have LOTS of low end torque and are FAST. When you properly turbo an integra LS...you can smoke him. A Z28 is heavier so it needs all that power...an integra is light so it doesn't need all that horsepower. I have a problem with that guy that said he smoke the inegra in his Z28 even though the integra has 11 psi???? What kind of integra? LS?? or GSR?? If it's an LS I can see it being a close race, but not a total KILL...A GSR......HELL NAW!! If you wanna get speed get a GSR 96-99 and greddy turbo has a street legal smog leagal turbo kit that will pass emissions. And with the intercooler at 8psi...it runs 255 whp....enought to SMOKE that dam Z28!! But if your looking to turbo the LS do it...It will be Very quick.
