spudmastah: what looks good about the 4 eye front end? Steve: your guess is as good as mine spudmastah: why didnt we go with Honda's change of the integras front end in 98? Steve: ummm Steve: it wa in 2001 Steve: not 98 spudmastah: no, 98 is when Honda went from the 4 eye to the front end you have Steve: nope Steve: from 94-2000 Steve: Honda had the 4 circle headlights Steve: in 98 it had the front end we had Steve: with the more aggressive front bumper styling Steve: ONLY in 2001 Steve: the last year the DC-2 chassis was availble Steve: did Honda go with the type-r look with the one piece chrome housing headlights for all other models of the integra Steve: such as the LS RS GS and GSR ( to us ) Steve: only the type R retained its famous black housing headlights spudmastah: " The JDM integra has the same front as the 94-97 USDM cars. In 96-97 only the Type R had the JDM front. 98+ All JDM Integras had the "Type R" front." Steve: wrong infor Steve: I don't know who told you that Steve: or where you got it from Steve: but its wrong spudmastah: from here, http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t124127.html spudmastah: 4th post Steve: *sigh* Steve: i got my info from people from japan Steve: and from a honda website spudmastah: explain this then, http://www.us-autosales.com/invintegra2dr.htm Steve: HES IN OHIO FOR CRYING OUT LOUD Steve: you're showing me a right hand drive integra Steve: a 94 Steve: why? Steve: and its single overhead cam too Steve: dude Steve: its the internet spudmastah: dude, thats a car you can buy in Okinawa, now I know it wasnt converted by the dealership Steve: no integra from 94-01 came with less than 2 cams Steve: in fact Steve: no integra FROM THE PRODUCTION LINES Steve: came with less than 2 cams spudmastah: that has the ZC motor spudmastah: ZC 120@6300 DOHC 16V PGM-FI 1.6 ZC 105@6300 SOHC 16V CARB 1.6 B18B 145@6300 DOHC 16V PGM-FI 1.8 B18C 180@7600 DOHC VTEC 16V PGM-FI 1.8 B18C 197@8000 DOHC VTEC 16V PGM-FI 1.8 B18B1 142@6300 DOHC 16V PGM-FI 1.8 B18C1 170@7600 DOHC VTEC 16V PGM-FI 1.8 B18C5 195@8000 DOHC VTEC 16V PGM-FI 1.8 Steve: and read the title carefully spudmastah: ZC 105@6300 SOHC 16V CARB 1.6 Steve: on the website dude Steve: it says US AUTO SALES Steve: did you know that Steve: you CAN put a single overhead cam motor into an integ? spudmastah: yes, but theyve also had integras with the type r front spudmastah: yes, i knew that Steve: only in 2001 dude Steve: dude.... Steve: whoever is telling you this bull info needs to be slapped Steve: that dealer...I would never buy a car from Steve: that integra most likely came back as a stolen car Steve: with no motor in it spudmastah: dude, the ZC came in it Steve: so...what would be the cheapest way to make the car sellable? Steve: dude Steve: I've been an integra fanatic since it came out Steve: I've been a honda fanatic ever since I saw civics smokin the shit outta domestics Steve: I've paid my dues Steve: and wasted too much time on research Steve: no integra Steve: came with less than 2 Steve : cams I mean Spudmastah, and I edited out Steve's aim name to protect his privacy. So, who is right? He does know his stuff about Honda's, but I dont know who is correct. Did any 3rd gen Integra come with a SOHC engine? |

I dont know about all that bumper but im prety sure that no integras ever came with a SOHC engine, and 94+ all are B series and there is no SOHC b series ive heard of.

I'm pretty sure that atleast one model of the 1st gen integra had a SOHC engine in it, not too sure though. But no 3rd gen had a SOHC, it's either a B18B1 engine under the hood, B18C1 for a GSR, or a B18C5 for a typeR, all DOHC...DUH!

the 1st gen usdm integras rolled the d16a1/3 so yes SOME came with SOHC motors, but 2nd/3rd gens all had DOHC motors.
as for the head lights...in usdm terms, the 4 circle style started in 94, and then changed a bit in 98 (slant inwards more) an they stayed that way til they disc them.

the 98 integra's headlights weren't just slanted in, one of the "bubbles" was bigger, in the 94-97 model the "bubbles" were the same size

I think that the Honda Integra changed to the one piece headlight style front end in 96 and it stayed that way until 2000. Then the DC5, RSX style, Integra came along in 2001. The SOHC ZC was offered in Honda Integras from 1986-1993 and they also had the DOHC D16A1/3/8/9 from 1986 to 1989. Then they offered the DOHC B16A from 1990-1993. The B18A1 was offered from 1990-1993, and the B17A from 92-93. Then from 94-up they had the B18B1, B18C1, and B18C5, or B18CR if you're in Japan. I think that's all right.

Why are people saying that 94-01 Integras are all DOHC 1.8's? All US MARKET Integras are, but in japan they have carbed 1.6 DC2's. Look at Honda's fucking JP site........Arguing with facts, how stupid. ALL 1-3 GEN INTEGRAS ARE AVAILABLE WITH SOHC 1.6's, the 1G JDM TEG HAS A EW SOHC carb 1.5 You are all spreading your Honda ignorance.
