Some countries get a 2.4, here down under we only get a 2.0 4 which isn't really powerful enough. Hopefully we'll get the GT Turbo version.

the stock engine is not intended to break any world records, just "Cruise" around town. HOWEVER, I know MANY folks who have managed to increase the HP with K&N filters, some who have added the Borla exhausts, and others who have completely tricked-out theirs to a point where you wouldn't even recognize the daggum things. well its actually a car that i guy did
im not sure of where he is or how to get a hold of him but if u send your
pt cruiser to him hell make it a pt crusher
lots of $$$$ though
he puts in a 6 speed transmission and a viper !) motor in it
i think its sick a v 10 6 speed pt be fun to drive though
i just dont think its worth the money to me

I have a 5 speed manual transmission pt cruiser gt, and at the dyno it has 240hp, i race my friend's automatic mustang gt 2001 and i kick his ass, i know it's not a corvette, but it has enough power to have fun, isn't gt cruisers in your country ?

All PT's have 2.4's turbo or not.There not as balless as people complain about.If your's is then you need to get the performance problem fixed.

I put a Whipple Supercharger in my 2001 along with the BTG catback exhaust. Its A LOT faster now! Its still just a cruiser, but now its a lot more fun.

It might be just a PT Cruiser,but I think they are cool looking.The one my wife drives has all of the bells and whistles Mopar offers.It really stands out in a crowd.I'm thinking about the new ST chevy truck.Another eye catcher for me.
