Design to Reality: NASCAR Pt. 2

Continued from the following link, before this forum had a separate project section. Hope I'm posting this in the right place. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t97847.html

If you worked for Miller, how much would you pay for this paint scheme? ^_^ Anyway, I have the decals on now. A couple of flubs here and there, but pretty good for my first model IMO. I wish the Micro Mark inkjet decal paper I used was a little more opaque. Maybe if I use it again I'll double layer the white decals.

I'll maybe post one more image in this post once I get the clearcoat on, get it shined up, and install the glass. I feel like the hardest part is still to come.

Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.

first off, great job, looks not only real, it's pretty damn cool too. looks like it belongs on the race track instead of the blue one. anyway, who makes that kit? i was wondering because i've got a revell, and it doens't include the air filter and all the window hoses. mine has everything yours seems to, just not the air filter box and window hoses. the hoses don't look custom, that's what made me wonder. any info would be cool.

your local punker...

This kit was made as a Revell Monogram (edit)1997 #5 T Labonte Monte Carlo. Bought off the shelf at walmart probably for $5 (I don't know, someone gave it to me as a christmas present).

Every mechanical part on the chassis is stock and brush painted. I was pretty happy with the detail level of the kit. It had everything from the Track Bar to the spark plug wires.

Here's a scan of the manual:

Thanks for all the comments.
