after removing the side moldings
i want to remove my side molding but what could i fill up the space with ? could i use fiber glass or just body filler ?
cauz i dont know were i could find good replacement side moldings in haiti we dont have junkyards over here... |

DO NOT use bondo...it will crack and fall off very quickly, expecially on the door from being closed, i personally wouldnt use fiberglass either, because fiberglass and steel have totally different expanding qualitys therefore, the fiberglass would fall off in the long run as well.
take the car to a reputable shop and have them weld over the spot the moulding used to be, then use body filler to smooth it perfect, it is alright to use body filler, just very sparingly

i was thinking of filling it up with boddy filler and shaping it after...
is that a bad idea ? |

u cant use just bondo cause it will fall into the door, i used that fibreglass mesh the people use for drywalling, then put long strand fibreglass over on that.
