Depends, I dropped my hatch down to within 1/2" of the bottom of my coilovers. I went like 1.5 miles up the street to the gas station - one of the shocks was already starting to hiss.

The ride? Will become super bouncy...

yes it rides normally except u feel a grinding noise when u go around corners if one or the other struts blown, i blew the right front and when i take left hand corners that are bumpy u can hear it bottom out all the time, even goin over normal bumps... and i've got KYB GR-2s

heres a quick question guys, if i buy some of those monroe struts that are guaranteed for life and toss them on the front.. would it still keep the drop the same? and i would have to replace both fronts anyway cuz i think the other ones goin out too....

The hissing means the shocks are starting to blow, the next step is the fluid leaking out which will usually happen within a few days.

No one is talkin about "speed racin" in your 90hp civic. Last time I checked, every place in america has speed bumps, potholes, dips in the road, railroad crossings and many other things that will throw the vehicle "off"

Monroe will not warranty their shocks on dropped vehicles.

1PHATCX - no warranty applies on the monroe shocks w/ a drop. why lower if your not using the right shocks?

I noticed on my rear struts when I go up a driveway at an angle (Like into a parking lot) the inside rear tire just drops... You can hear it go CLUNK. My struts are totaly blown thoe, stock struts droped almost four inches on skunk coilovers... What the hell was the guy I bought this car from thinking?

If you want to slam it I recomend some accord struts.

Shocks stop the spring from bouncing. Without them your car will continue to bounce with the slightest bump. Basically the same thing applies for stock shocks w/ lowered suspension.

your car isnt gonna BOUNCE A LITTLE TILL YOU GET KONI's

the car will ride like a absolute shit.. its even illegal... if the cops see you bouncing around, they will pull you over, bust you for all the other illegal things on your car and then you will HAVE to get Konis right away.. withing 72 hours... dont fuck around when it comes to lowering, you will put yours and others life in danger

don't ghetto drop your 4g4d... the last thing we need is more ghetto riced-out and generally shitty looking 4gs running around...

if you drop it, do it right and get camber kits, springs, struts, and get it aligned... please... it's for your own good, so you don't get made fun of...
