Track Night

Well tonight i ventured up to our nearst raceway (Renegade Raceway) near Yakima, WA to watch a bunch of cars make passes down the strip and see how fast they could go. It was my first time ever going to one of these and it was pretty tight. Was gonna bring the digital so i could post pix but i was in a hurry to get out there and forgot the camera at home. Went up w/ my friends Garrett ('03 RSX-S) and David ('99 Civic EX) and some others that rode w/ us but only David raced. There was everything from stock civics to blown nova's that ran 10's. Well the temp was around 85 degrees and i know u guys hate these questions but what do u think a 1990 Honda Civic EX w/ SOHC ZC, 2.5" cat-back, AEM CAI would run. Only reason for this is 1) just got my car back w/ new engine 5 days ago 2) parents wont let me race so i figure i may as well ask someone, lol. I believe the next ones are 2 weeks from now and ill try and get the digital up there and put some pix on here.

Well what was the point of getting a "performance" engine in your car if you can't/wont race it. I'd say it'd run high 15's. Screw your parents, Race the shit outta that thing!

Only reason i got a SOHC ZC is because overall it was cheaper than just getting my stock engine replaced. Anyways...the SOHC ZC is basically the same engine i had in there already, d16a6.

Mike, I'd say race it on the track if you want, but dont get caught on the streets, you know from what I've told you what happens when you get caught bein stupid on the streets. I want to go race mine on the track when I get my b16 in, but no way right now with my d15b2... Anyways, dont let your parents find out that you do if youre going to, but hey, if they do find out, you can always tell them that youre doing it legally...lol at least its not on the streets right? Have fun bro, but dont kill yourself or your car...I still gotta race you when you get it broken in.

Well first off, there isn't much to do in Yakima, lol. I mean I don't live there I live in the Tri-Cities but from the times i've gone up there there isn't much. It is between Wapato and Union Gap, a couple miles off of I-82. It isn't like a nice place or anything but its all we have in Southeast Washington, lol.
