Engine Swap for KA24E

Anyone know of an engine swap for the KA24E? I have a '97 King Cab with the SOHC KA24E Automatic and would like to find a faster engine that would swap out without too much fuss. Is the KA24DE a direct swap (motor mounts, tranny match) and how much power increase does it provide? What other motors make a fairly easy swap?
Thanks in advance, and I hope to find more Hardbody drivers here. It would be nice to have a Hardbody section on this forum.

I know I've already looked at the ka24de swap for my SOHC 240sx. The tranny and engine mounts match up fine. You're looking at a increase of 15hp and a larger aftermarket. However for the money I have decided to drop in the CA, little more money but a power increase of 35hp and a nice turbo

Hmm.. tell me more about this. What is the CA you refer to? Does it use the same motor/tranny mounts? What else will you have to do to make this work? Have any links to anyone who has done it before? Thanks for the reply, and be sure to post pics/how tos when you do the swap.

The CA18DET. It is the motor from the 89-90 Nissan 180SX. To be honest I'm still researching it, where to get it, what is needed for the swap, and any complications. But from what I've heard its tough as nails when it comes to takin abuse/power. But I know there r people who have done it around here on the forum, check engine talk or motorswap, an ask about the CA

SR20DE, RB25DETT....I'm not too sure about fitment in trucks though. I know some the 240sx(KA24) guys go with these.

Re: Engine Swap for KA24E

Re: Engine Swap for KA24E

ummm... i think ther eis only one sr20dett, and its completely pointless, less power for more money. 240 guys do more CA, SR-t, and RB. most power i think is the RB, but also most expensive, as it comes from the skyline, which isnt available in the states

Re: Engine Swap for KA24E

A small block chevy is tempting, but I'm on a waiting list at a local salvage yard to get a wrecked Titan. If I can get some measurements I'll see how possible it is. If not I'll stick to my original plan, 300z-xe Hardbody.
