Wheels or Braces?

No not braces for my teeth, I mean my birthday is commin up and my parents spent 150 on my bro, so hopefully I'll get the same. I can probably have them buy me one of my wheels to get me started on that project, or I can have them buy me front+rear upper and lower tie braces. Strut and sway bars basically. What should I do?

2 sway bars & 3 tie bars for $150? where you getting your stuff from? Rear sway bar upgrade & lower tie will do more than upper tie bars.
Is your car lowered? if so what set-up?

My philosophy is get the basics down first and then you can work on the flashy stuff. Braces.

Wheels for $150? I just got done paying $150 for 1 tire.

Personally I think strut braces aren't worth the metal they're made of unless you're a hardcore racer or something.. The only reason I have mine is I payed $50 for the front and rear, and I still feel dumb about wasting that money. By personal experience strut bars were the most usless mod I've done to date.

Favorite upgade for relativly cheap - New smaller steering wheel. You're always holding the steering wheel, and its nice to have one thats a fun one instead of the huge stock one.

Whoa whoa whoa, no, I meant I can get a front upper strut bar, front lower tie brace, rear upper strut bar, and a rear lower tie brace. A total of 4. They are from ebay, and they are going for 60 bucks. Im not too sure about quality, but I dont do any harcore racing, so Im not too sure about puttin it under too much stress. Also, the 150 for the wheels...no...it would be one wheel and possibly one tire to go with it. I work at a tire shop and I can get ...say...konig tantrums for 99 a wheel, and the 205/40/17 rubber for it for another 99. If I were to go the route of the braces, I would get those and front and rear camber kits. I know on ebay some of the front ones are 60 apeice, and the rears are like 25 or so. I'm not sure what I want to do tho, thats why I posted it here, for you guys to help me decide.

Also, SiZ, when I just had my front upper strut bar, I did notice a change. I loved the way it felt, the only reason I dont have it anymore, is becuase I didnt tighten one of the bolts tight enough, so it wiggled itself loose.

Sway bars & tie bars dont even do the same thing? How do you get that confused? Maybe you didnt know there a difference, i dunno. I forgot to add front lower to my list - damnit. 4 ties // 2 sways Dont get cheap tie bars just so you can say you have them. I know its only tie bars, but if you do something - do it right or dont do it at all.

What is the difference between them, I was under the assumption that strut bars go on the strut towers, and sway bars went underneath your car. I'm kinda new on that whole part of things, so could you explain.

Also, could you tell me what would you recommend..like where to get them and whatnot? I mean, I dont want to spend 200 on one strut bar. That seems like a bit much, but I do want quality, I'm trying to modify my car right, not make it too showy. I want to make sure that it will work right, not just have the parts so I can say I have them.

Neuspeed!

Upper tie bars brace the upper strut towers. lower tie bars brace lower control arms. They provide bracing. Stay away from the bars with hingded ends. Whats to point of bracing if it flexes/moves?

Sway bars control body roll. Tieing the lower ends of the suspension together. For FWD you will want a larger rear than front for impoved handling.

I would get a rear sway before all the upper/lower ties

Again, know where I can find a rear sway bar? I mean, I want to do it, but ebay doesnt have them, and from what you guys have been saying, I dont want to go there anyways. I need a website, I know there is lots, but I really hate searching through a huge website, just to find out they dont have the application that I want/need. I have a 91 lx sedan. If you know off the top of your head, please tell me, if you dont and would have to search, just let me know that I can do it just as easily as you can, and thatll be cool too. I dont want my laziness to inconvinience anyone else, I was just hoping someone knew off the top of their head.

I've heard somewhere that you can upgrade your rear lower sway bar to one from an Integra 90-93. Supposedly, the metal is a larger gauge or thickness. Haven't tried it, but I've heard of this a few times.

Worth looking into I guess
