Baby greens are my new best friend

I have hated vegetables from as far back as I can remember. My parents tried everything under the sun to get me to eat them (i.e. not allowing me to have dessert, taking away my soda, etc.) Alex has also tried to get me to eat them to a point where it turned to nagging and I would get pissed off.

So this past week I went grocery shopping and bought a few packs of the baby greens in the produce section for Alex since he said he wants to keep salad on hand.

Well last night I decided perhaps I should give it a shot (I hate iceburge lettuce, not too horribly fond of romaine). So I put some greens on a plate, threw a bit of ranch on and then chopped up a grilled chicken breast and mixed it up.

IT WAS GOOD!!!!

I ate 1½ salads last night and brought the last half in to work for lunch today. So for those of you who never thought there was a God.....beware the world is ending soon....KAT ATE SALAD VOLUNTARILY!!!!!!!!

yummy. I love salads.

I'm very peculiar about vegetables though... I love vegetables, but I absolutely cannot eat them when they've been cooked/steamed whatever. There are exceptions like corn though.

The weirdest thing is that I love raw onions, and nothing in the world smells better to me than onions being sauteed, but I absolutely cannot STAND eating cooked onions (I can tolerate them in onion rings though).

Strange, and I was starting to think I was the only one. I hate cooked fruit as well. There are only a few vegetables that I refuse to eat no matter what and that would be beets, cabbage, and spinach. Just the smell of beets makes me want to ralph.

Gotta say I like the greens. I'm as big a carnivore as you'll ever find, but well prepared veggies taste great. Glad to hear you've expanded your culinary horizons. What¡¦s next Chinese broccoli? (which is fantastic)

I love 95% of veges and fruit. Don't really like beets, cauliflower, bukchoy(sp) or sprouts in general. Apart from that, the only thing worse than having to eay things you don't like is listening to someone else fucking whinge about not liking it. SHUTUP AND EAT YOUR GODDAMN FOOD.
