Priming

Hey,
I was just curious if any one ever primes all the parts of their kits?
I did it to one of my kits? am I an idiot? or is this a good thing? i think its good, because it makes the paint look more "solid". does anyone else ever do this? or am i the only one?

I used to do the whole kit, but now that the stuff is so expensive the body only gets done.

I have found that priming every peice is very rarely nessary. You may want to prime the parts that you have to do alot of work to though. I have also found that primer is usualy not needed if you brush paint.

I do the whole kit.

Infiniti used to sell G20 in Canada around the 90s. Maybe you were to young to remember.
I almost got one, but the salesperson pissed me off. I went into the dealer to see the car and asked him to do an introduction. The reply I got was "You can't afford this car." Maybe it was because I was in my early 20s at the time and I looked like a teenager. We go a Volvo instead.
Sorry to go a bit off topic.

Usually primer, at least a few "misty" coats - found its easier to hand paint!

I find that some parts, especially those molded in silver really require primer. Or else when you paint them the paint won't stick to the surface and seems to 'slide' off. But I usually prime everything but only 2 coats for parts other than the body. And it is damn expensive.
