new civic thread

ok.. since my other thread got turned into a bunch of guys calling BS on me, ill make a new one here

i want to go B16 turbo.. a low boost system for now... i have searched the board, and the net.

what i need is this

1. a website that tells everything needed for a B16A 1st gen swap into an EF car

2. Is there a company that sells a low boost turbo kit for the B16 in a EF civic? Do i have to mod a diferent kit to work with the EF?

3. Can i get an ET for a low boost civic with a really good driver?? Just a rough estimate... like 13 seconds? 14 seconds? I plan onusing a 75 HP wet nitrous kit

4. Any website that deal with turbo B16's or transplanting a B16 into a EF, post them here...

thanks alot

Travis

Re: new civic thread

U DON'T HAVE AN EF

BUT....there is no such thing as a low boost turbo kit...only small turbo's and large turbo's with boost controllers

also if u want et on low boos we need to know how much psi ur talkin....i think stock b16's can handle about 8-10 psi...not sure...

are u sure u did a search b/c this subject is all too common

i know i dont have an EF... but im going to get one... i have 4500 USD to spend on the engine... i like JDM 4g4d's post... very informative.. i only want to run about 6 or 8 PSI to be safe, maybe less for everyday driving, but i want to be able to at least boost to 8 or 9 PSI...

i guess ill have to get charge pipes custom? can i use exhaust pipe? what size of exhaust should i run? 2.75? 3 inch?

thanks again

Travis

what u'll need for a turbo it

Quote:
1. Garrett T3/T4 Turbo- The turbos trim is a/r 50, it has an external 7 psi wastegate on it, and does come with the mounting gasket.

2. Custom FMIC- It is designed for most honda and acura applications, its tig welded, 2.5” inlet and outlet, it measures 30x6x3 tip to tip, and the core is 2 ¾” thick, which flows 33% more air than a 2” thick standard core.

3. Turbo Oil Feed Line- this is a complete kit to run from your block to your turbo, it will work for any b16 and b16 engines.

4. Custom Turbo Manifold- this manifold is tig welded with laser cut flanges, it will fit any b- series blocks.

5. NO WELD Turbo Oil Return Kit- this is a no weld oil return line, its great for aluminum pans, like honda and acura ones.

6. Greddy E-Manage- includes the greddy e-manage, support tools and software, ingintion harness, injector harness, sensor harness, and turbo pressure harness.

7. ALUMINUM Blow Off Valve- exact replica of apexi, with great reliability.

8. Greddy Full Auto Turbo Timer- The GReddy Full Auto Timer packs tons of features in one economical, compact unit. In addition to two standard programmable count down presets, this timer also has two Auto Timer modes, which estimate the driving RPM according to the vehicle's alternator signal and then recommends a count down time. Additional functions include a Stopwatch/Lap Time mode, and Attack mode. There is also a built in Voltmeter and Speedometer.

9. Manual Boost Controller- One of the best boost controllers on the market…

10. Synapse Missing Link Valve- you need this in order to bypass your MAP sensor.

11. Walbro 255 lph fuel pump- it is great quality and relibilty..

well if you gonna get a dx then u gotta do the mpfi swap. get a 90-93 teg halfshaft with 90-93 teg axles

and i dont think runnin a stock b16 @ 7psi with a 75 shot wet nitrous is advisable. but if u do run that set up i would say 12s but dont expect your engine to last long

You need 90-93 Integra LS axels, but you are going turbo, so I would go with reenforced axles... probly like stage 2 or 3.

Your going to get an ED. Unless you plan on importing a jdm civic cause those are the only ones with EF in there vin tag.
