Hello - -
Anyone ever have any problems with turning off the high beams on a late 80's Pulsar .. . . .getting to the point where I have to fix it or it won't pass inspection .. . . any idea on how to fix this problem .. when you turn on the lights the high beams come on and then you have to flick the switch about a billion times to get the normal beam lights to stay .. switch? fuse? wiring? Any ideas would be great .. Thx |

I had a similar problem which played hell when driving the back roads and you needed to turn them down for traffic. One thing to try is to turn the headlights off (down) and then back on. Or try disconnecting the passing timer (under the passenger kick panel - looks like a green relay. Mine is now gone and it works fine - other than when using the passing lights (pulling back on the lever the lights go back down ass soon as you let go of the lever.
Hope it works for you! |
