E-bay strut bars are so cool that they have this safety feature that makes the bars SNAP when they're under too much stress!

then ur friend had a defective strut bar or had it way too tight

you shouldn't be able to break a solid strut bar unless it was APC.

I bought a no-name rear strut bar from someone on this forum, and it kicks ass, especially for the $20 I paid.

Cheap Ebay strut bars are great. I've got all four. I noticed a tremendous difference after installing the front upper strut tower bar.
That package deal for all four sounds awesome!
You'll notice the difference right away, and wonder how you ever lived without it.
This morning I was driving like an asshole and had to take some evasive action at 80 mph. I honestly think I would have lost control without the strut bars. They paid for themselves in a very dangerous half-a-second.

PS-Also, I've driven the HELL out of this car, and they've never snapped...
PPS-I got my first one a year and a half and 60,000 miles ago.
