So in other words it sucks? It hits extremely low according to the specs though

yea basically it sucks for music. u get a cool factor with that though. it should hit the low pretty well considering the mass of the cone has to be at least 1000g or so. not much excursion since its limited by the spider. should not be efficient AT ALL (audiobahn overrates it most of the time). too much mass and not enough BL. simply cannot overcome physics.

Well they have it rated at 5000 watts, so you are saying that audiobahn's Rms is overated, if so by how much?

i'm sure that 5" voice coil will take 5000 watts RMS for a short burp. depends on the driver though. i had an audiobanh sub a while back that was rated 600 watts RMS. sent it 300 watts and it blew in a few days.

it was a JBL 300.1 running at 2ohm. it puts out a tad bit more than that though. 350 maybe?

hmm... I was looking at a JBL... lol, well my subs do 800rms each and I was going to put 1200 to 2 of them at 2 ohms, so we will compare later, lol. I have a friend running his subs at 1ohm anyhow that are audiobahns, pushin around 1500
