engine boring

sup, sorry this is gunna be about 5 questions but they are all related. k can anyone tell me how much boring out my b18 from 1.8 to 2.0L and sleeving it would cost me? and any suggestions on what pistons to get once the cylinders are bored? also once i get it bored do i have to get it ported and polished? if so how much does that cost? what else would i have to buy once the cylinders are bored? can somebody go into depth and tell me EVERYTHING i would have to get, sorry but i have spent the last 2 hours looking for info on boring and i couldnt find anything and its now almost 6 am .... oh and i am getting a skunk2 stage 2 camshaft in about a month, that should go nicely with the bored out cylinders, right.......?

I dont know about the cost, but port and polish has to do with the head, but will help with the cams, probably wanna get new valve springs too to hold the higher lift. and I know the b18b isnt exactly 1.8 lters so i doubt the B20 is exactly 2.0 liters, so just get it bored to 84mm then you can buy pistons intended for the B20. or you could bore it to 85mm and get the .40 over B20 pistons. what cr ratio depends on what your plans are, but wiht the stage 2 cams Im guessing no forced induction so Id say somewhere around 10:1.

well, I dont mean buy crv pistons, I meant then you can buy either pistons for the B20 or if you bore to 85mm then you can get pistons meant for the B20 but .40 over.

i found JE pistons for a B20 block, 12.5:1 compression..... lol but anyways i was wondering, after my engine is bored out and has the b20 JE pistons in it will a Skunk2 Stage 2 camshaft for a b18c1 still work with my engine ?

if you have a vtec head yes, otherwise you need to get cams for a LS. anyways, dont go 12.5:1 unless you plan on having a very good management system to tune it with.

well, I know a kid who had a ITR and put in 12.5:1 along wiht toda cams and all the most expensive parts, but he just had the engine built/put in then sent to another shop to have the engine managem, ent installed and tuned and the car got stolen before he got to drive it so I dont know if it would have worked out, but that seems kinda high to run on pump gas, where you live is it 93 or what, i have heard some places in mid us have like 89 as their supreme.

anyways, 11.5:1 I guess. I was going with 11:1 pistons for my crvtec but since bought an accord so got a block and pistons with no use, want em?

you have the perfect starting point, with my pistons and block and your head/ecu/everything else you got a running crvtec. I am debating on keeping it and building it still since i can tell im addicted to this hobby for life and will eventually have a teg again.

but if I got a good offer i wouldnt turn it down

boring my engine out is going to cost me about 500-800 dollars depending on what maching shop I go to. the real big money for the project is spent on the pistons, I'm going to go for Ealgle connecting rods and JE Pistons. Expensive but worth every penny.
