Is this worth it?

alright, one of my friends works over here at Doc's Auto Body here in Topeka, and when i stopped by to visit him, the owner and I got to talking. he mentioned about needed to clear off cars he had on the lot, and he offered to sell me a white 93 civic hatch for $200.00. Its a 5speed, and was driven by a girl. The engine he says is really strong, and only has roughly 111,000 miles on it. The car though, needs a new front bumper, drivers quarter, and drivers door. but were hit in a collision. I don't know what engine is in the car, cause I was on my way to work, and only talked to him for about 10 minutes or so.

would it be worth getting this car, making a project car, swapping in a killer engine, and making it a track killer? I don't know much about honda's to judge for myself. All help is appreciated.

Thanks

$200 is pretty cheap. Certianly wouldn't make a good daily driver, but maybe a track car like you said. But you'll have to spend way more than the car's worth to make it trackable.

depending on how much money you have to make the car fast will determine if its worth it to get. the price is unbeatable if thats the only thing wrong with it. the hatches are as light as cars come so you'll have the weight part going for ya.

what is the car's title status? shit, if it had a clean title which there is a small chance it might I would take the car and put it back together then sell it. more than likely it has a salvage title though so it would not be much good for the street pretty much ever again

$200 is worth it if no frame damage. Make it a race car, throw a 1 piece fiberglass front end & some fiber glass doors to start.

you should try to get it for even cheaper - like $150. Just for fun. =)
