hmm - looks are subjective. Why do you want a Supra? It doesn't sound from your post that you really know what they are/look like - but maybe I read it wrong. Anyway, there are 4 generations/basic styles but the last 3 are the most common. The last generation, the Mark iv (1993-1998), is the best looking to me. Go to mkiv.com for a lot of great information on this generation. These can be hard to come by and are relatively kind of expensive. The Mark III (1986.5-1992) is nice, too, and it's a bit more common and affordable because more were made. They are getting pretty old now so you'll probably need some mechanic skills if you get one. I think sogi.com (not really sure about this website name) has some pictures of those. There aren't so many Mark II's around anymore. I don't remember when they started making them but they stopped in '86.

do some research before you you commit to buying supra...they are quite the investment...but...i have a 95 for sale

drop me an email if interested for more info

anyway...as far as one year being "better" than the other...every year had a few changes...those can be read up on at mkiv.com but the changes arent much more than some colors, obdI->obdII from 95-96, head/tail lights in the 97/97...and vvti in the 98 NA
theres a few other small changes here and there but nothing too big

well as was said before the new taillights that came out in 97 were nice but in my opinion the best year comes down to performance and so id have to say the 1994 is best becuase it is close to 200 lbs lighter than any other mkiv year with the same 320 hp so instead of weighing 3400 lbs roughly it weighs 3200 lbs which makes for even better acceleration and speed.

where did you get that weight figure?
youre wrong on that one...there were no weight changes between 93-95
look into the specifics of what youre looking at
targa cars weigh more than hard tops
automatics weigh more than 6 speeds
TTs weigh more than NAs

the lightest being the NA with cloth interior 5 speed hardtop with base stereo

heaviest being the targa automatic TT with the stock subwoofer included

WEll, in 98 VVT with a new three spoke wheel and I think they lowered the price by 10,000 that year.
