Want to meet stupid people?

Serve on jury duty. Some people can't even follow instructions for a 6 year old mentality! I hate jury duty...

Another quick and easy way to meet stupid people...get a job in a gas station. I work in a Chevron in north Alabama. Honestly, you'd think some people thought gas pumps were rocket science. And oh god, the ones that come in and ask "Can I use your restroom?" Sometimes I want to say "No, that's why it's a public restroom, because we don't let people use it."

I'm gonna stop here, because this is a major soap box for me, I could rant for days.

You think that's bad? Try working at a subway like me, in a town full of farmers and MORONS. They are so damn stupid some times, "would you like american, prov, or pepperjack" "i'll take swiss" "we don't have swiss, we have american, prov. and pep." "the white stuff" "it's all white" "um... the regular then" "they all are regular also"

Bastard people it makes me want to just leave, I feel your pain there....

Oh believe me...I understand farmers and morons. I live in Alabama. Hickville Central. And this town has way more than its fair share of idiots. Population: 770, give or take a few. 700 of them are stupid. I mean, come on. Pay at the pump is not complicated...instructions are printed ON THE PUMP. You can't start pumping gas, and then insert the card and expect it to work. Also, quarters are not healthy for credit card readers. What kind of idiot puts a quarter in a credit card reader? Oh, and the thing that irritates me the most, people will walk in, pick something up off the counter, read it, then look at me and say "What's this?" I just want to say "What the bloody hell does it look like? You just read it, you tell me!"

Gah, here I go, one step closer to that soap box. *stuffs something in her mouth to make herself shut up*

Served 3 weeks on a jury last year. Two silly teen bitches pleaded guilty to manslaughter half way through the trial, the third silly teen bitch took us all the way to the verdict.Guilt of murder.Pretty straightforward really, you hit a guy 6 times on the back of the head with a claw hammer, dump his body in a river and steal his truck, there's not really any other sentence.

What annoys me is that she's appealing the conviction and the sentence.

Yeah, that does seem pretty straightforward.

Then again, you'd think shooting someone in the chest point-blank with a high-powered rifle would be a pretty cut and dried case. Murder One, why even bother with a trial? Nope, wrong, first time around he got 3rd degree murder. Then a mistrial was called because of conflict of interest. Second trial, he gets manslaughter. 30 years in prison, parole in 10. For shooting his girlfriend in the chest. I don't see how he didn't get murder one. But, that just demonstrates some more of that rampant stupidity.

I think over there you guys have a thing where you cant be tried for the same crime twice. Since it was thrown out the first time, he cant be charged with it again. So you need to change the charge.

Its unfortunate that juries are made up of people who are to stupid to get out of it and the few bright ones who have the time to participate.

There is a guy in Hawaii who murdered his wife or girlfriend (forgot which) hid her body, wrapped it up and dumped in a river. He's in a nasty prison now and suing the state for inhumane treatment...
