does with mean driving or against the lude? i never rev higher when racing and just drop the clutch. spins the tires too much, and that's how i beat most people. just slam the gas, and release the clutch.... not enough low end to quite spin them, but you get a nice chirp.

I've raced an SI with exhaust and suspension this way, and he just sat there and spun them for awhile. Idiot.

how much power are you puttng to the wheels? what's your setup? what kind of tires, suspension? all these will affect your launch. kinda hard to give you an idea of how to launch without knowing such things.

if u want a good launch rev inbetween 3k to 4k. if rpm is too low you'll have a slow start, if rpm is too high ur just a sitting duck burning rubber. i drove my friends vtec prelude b4 and i recomend u press the gas at 3500 k, and about shifting gears just don't go past red line thats a big no no
