Exclamation car wont start

iwent to go to work tonite,i got in my car and went to crank it, it acted like it wanted to crank but didnt, so i turned the key off and went to crank it again......and nothing. it makes a loud click but it didnt turn over or anything. my lights and radio still came on, but it wont do anything does anyone know what is wrong? its a stock 89 crx si


ps-i have cranked it a cple times before, and right
after i cranked it, it would idle good for like a second
then the rpms would drop to 0, and it would shut
off.

Turn the key over once and listen for the fuel pump to turn on and to pressureize. I really think thats what your problem is.

Could be anything...Check all your fuses...Check all your relays to make sure they are secure and attached... Check your starter connections....Take off the distributor cap and check for spark (Make sure your ignition coil is good and/or the module). And do what buddy said... Make sure your fuel pump is pressurizing... Could be a million things. Bottom line, spark or fuel...Unless your motor is pooched..

If it has tits or wheels, it's bound to give ya problems.

Had the same problem with my 92 accord where the rpm would jut drop to 0. Was the coil in the distributor. Now a couple months later same problem again but this time it was the main relay. Where the car doesnt wanna turn over.

i finally pop started it and it has been cranking ever since. i am ging to do a b16 swap in the next week or two, so i am hoping that holds out til then lol.
