Unhappy Ford Escort intermittent wipers!

Hi all, newbie here.
Well I finally have to get around to fixing my wifes Escort. The intermittent wipers will work once every 5 minutes. I'm thinking it's the module but I don't want to replcae any unneccesary parts.
I also don't have a service manual so where would I look? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Russ

Re: Ford Escort intermittent wipers!

i had a problem with my wipers too. They were operating really funny and then oneday they stoped moveing and i heard a thumpumping sound under the hood. the moter had ripped a hole in the fire wall. it is right in front of the driver. What i did was put a pice of wood behind it and bolt the whole mess together. Works fine now. haha.
anyway good luck hope this helps
