jdm motors.....pass smog?

A friend of a friend has a jdm b16a motor and he just got his smog test and passed. He told me that the only thing that you have to change is the intake manifold for a Jdm motor. And also one of the sensors I think it was the tps or egr system which was somthing to do with fuel cleaner....like I said i think???
Please tell me if thos is true.

As long as there is a cat coverter it will pass. I have many friends w/ jdm swaps and we all pass smog. Not sure on Cali smog laws and limits though.

just rig some ghetto exhaust with 2 cats and youll pass, then take it out and get a real exhaust system, then when it comes time to smog, swap them, pass, and swap back. my grandpa knows a guy in CA who does the tests and he was suposed to go fix al;l this smog crap on his car but the guy just told my granpa to either replace the cat if its old or add another one, he replaced it and it passed the next time.

The rubbing alcohol is isopropyl alcohol. Which is exactly the same as the dry gas you buy in stores. Here in CT we use alot of dry gas. keeps moisture from freezing your gas lines in the winter.
