Got this ugly and scary 959 :-)

and I quite a little bit disappointed
engine looks good, even belts and pulleys present
but NO UNDERBODY details!!!!
They ommited the most interesting - unique Porsche 4WD
system, also featured on their 911 4x4 rally prototypes
1.Can I take it from another kit (where?)
2.Porsche 959 body colors: I've seen only pics of red, white and
black 959 on the web site... what another body colors was
available for this model?

I am still confused about the chassis!
Is it a lower detail version to save time?

It's very strange kit... there is a complete engine with gearbox,
exaust pipes and turbochargers underside the car
but bottom of the body absolutely FLAT! no details
I can't believe in that on real car, there should be at least
a driveshaft and front differential (remember it's a 4wd car)
If they ommited underside details for WHAT reason they included
exaust and turbo details???

It could be part of the 959 design...I found this while trying to find pics of the 959 underbody.
Quote:
a streamlined three-piece molding - first fitted on the legendary Porsche 959 - channels air between the underside of the car and the road, helping push the body to the pavement at speed.

Here's another quote about the undertray...still no pic.

Quote:
Engineers could have reduced the drag further, but they did not want to sacrifice the zero aerodynamic lift they had already acheived. For a supercar running in excess of 300 km/h, any aerodynamic lift could cause serious problems in stability. Obviously 959's air dam and the fiberglass-Kelvar flat undertray contributed a lot to that.

I can't find any pics, either. And I know I haven't seen one. Sounds like Jason has it figured out, though...
