Question Add-on Remote Starter

I just bought a Omega RS-4LX remote starter for my 2000 Sunfire GT. This unit says it works with my existing OEM Keyless Entry. I'm pretty much ready to do the install except for one little bit. I don't know where to tie intro my OEM Keyless Entry. The instructions state the the normal operation of the remote is a Lock->Lock-> (Start) combination, and that the wire that connects to the OEM unit needs a voltage pulse...

I think if I could just find a Wiring Diagram of all the wires that are going into the Keyless Entry box I could figure out which one to tap into.

Anyone know where to get such a diagram?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Thanks for the diagrams, i'm sure if I get to that point they will help me out.

but I'm so confused!

I must be missing something

I got my Passlock II bypass module installed and I can still start my sunfire with the key.

But, i'm getting lost on hooking up my remote starter.
There is an Ignition #1 and Ignition #2, and there are only 3 wires going into my ignition...

Also, the remote starter says it needs a negative pulse to start, and I just can't figure out where i'm supposed to tap into for that wire.

If anyone has installed a Remote Starter in their 2000 sunfire could you lead me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Everything is installed correctly except the pink wire which is supposto recieve the negative pulse from the factory unit and set the whole thing in motion. the manual says to hook up to the factory oem aux. output on remote reciever however i can't seem to ID the right wire. Anyone with advice

Re: Re: Add-on Remote Starter

I decided I wasn't going to be able to get it working, so I went out and bought a DEI Rattler Do it yourself kit on sale at Circut City and it worked like a charm.

I threw out the Omega RS-4LX

Glad you went the DEI route. Even though the Rattler system is on th elow end of DEI, it is far better than that Omega crap. If you ever need any install info, go to www.bulldogsecurity.com
